Northland Pt 2 - Kauri Forest and Omapere
So, I heard there were these big trees 'round this area. Well, it's true. They are big. Colossally big. You just stand there and gape at their hugeness. Then, when the moment has passed and the camera is turned on to produce blog food, lo and behold, they do not fit on the screen. WTF?! Whose idea were these? Hey, let's make a tree so big, when people try and take a picture, they won't be able to fit it in on one shot. And if they back up far enough, it will just look like a normal tree with some smaller trees resembling toothpicks surrounding it. Not fair. You must believe. Faith. I've been singing that a lot lately. George Micheal style. Word.
